A Flexible Part-Time Role
Arrow Sign Company is looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined person to help with sign installation, service and other light commercial field work.
This is a good fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to stay active, but is not looking for a full-time schedule or a high-pressure job. We have a consistent flow of work, but the schedule is not packed every day. Some weeks may have several jobs while others may be lighter. Work is generally scheduled in advance whenever possible.
This could be an especially good fit for a semi-retired tradesperson, former installer, maintenance technician or experienced hands-on worker who wants to continue working without committing to a full-time job.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with commercial sign installation and removal
- Perform basic sign service and maintenance
- Help with storefront, property and wayfinding signage
- Use ladders, hand tools and power tools
- Assist with exterior lighting and related field-service projects
- Take completion photos and communicate field issues
- Work independently or alongside a small crew
What We’re Looking For
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- Comfortable with hand and power tools
- General mechanical or construction ability
- Comfortable working outdoors
- Able to safely use ladders and elevated equipment when needed
- Able to lift approximately 50 pounds
- Dependable and professional at customer locations
- Able to follow job instructions and work safely without constant supervision
Helpful Experience
Experience in any of the following is helpful, but not required:
- Sign installation or sign service
- Construction or remodeling
- Facilities or property maintenance
- Electrical or lighting work
- Fence installation
- Commercial field service
- Vinyl or graphics installation
We are willing to train the right person who is mechanically capable, dependable and comfortable working in the field.
Schedule
This is a part-time, flexible position. We are not looking for someone to work every day.
The ideal person wants steady supplemental work, enjoys staying busy and appreciates having some flexibility in their schedule. Jobs come in consistently, but this is not a packed, high-pressure daily schedule.
